The Carrera Cup Asia is setting out to find the next young star, giving fledgling talent across the region the unparalleled chance to show their skills and become part of the region's premier motorsport series.
The new 911 GT3 Cup (Type 991 II) is a masterful machine built to deliver optimum performance, durability and safety for drivers. Based on the 911 GT3 street production vehicle, the new Cup car – which will debut in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia in the 2018 season – delivers staggeringly higher performance on the track.
Zhuhai. It was a weekend of fierce fights for Porsche’s 9 entries in China GT as heavy rains at Zhuhai International Circuit wet the way for a wild Round 3 on Saturday, followed by a dry and dramatic Round 4 on Sunday.
Zhuhai. The battle continues for Porsche as a crew of ultra-talented drivers head to Zhuhai International Circuit for Round 3 and 4 of the China GT and Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy on Saturday and Sunday.
Bangsaen. It was a perfect race weekend for FAW T2 Motorsport’s Will Bamber after the young driver completed his second lights-to-flag victory in Round 6 at the Bangsaen Street Circuit on Sunday.
Bangsaen. It was a rough ride to victory for FAW T2 Motorsport’s Will Bamber who seized a lights-to-flag victory in Round 5 at Bangsaen with a fine exhibition of focused driving as the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia made its debut on one of the most unforgiving tracks seen so far this season.
Bangsaen. The Porsche Carrera Cup Asia’s 2017 season is well underway as the series prepares for its fiery debut at the Bangsaen Street Circuit in Thailand for Round 5 and 6 from June 30 –July 2.
Suzuka. Two days of intense racing at Round 5 and 6 Blancpain GT Series Asia at Suzuka International Circuit witnessed Porsche drivers eke out their first podium of the season in GT3 while heated action in GT4 saw rivals exchange two hard-fought victories.
Stuttgart. At 18:30 on Saturday evening the Le Mans 24-Hours looked over for the Porsche 919 Hybrid of Earl Bamber (NZ), Timo Bernhard (DE) and Brendon Hartley (NZ). Their car had no front axle drive anymore, was repaired for 1.05 hours and rejoined the race 18 laps behind. But the 85th running of the endurance classic in Le Mans produced such dramatic changes that the impossible ultimately came true: After an enormous effort, the trio sliced through the field from 56th position to overall victory. For Le Mans record holder Porsche, it is the 19th overall win in the world’s toughest race and the third in a row meaning the German manufacturer can now keep the famous trophy.
Fuji. Team Formax’s Chris van der Drift put on a spectacular show of tactical, calculated driving as the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia hosted a tense Round 4 in Fuji followed by a historic second friendly invitational alongside Porsche Carrera Cup Japan.
Fuji. Blue skies set a picturesque stage for Team Porsche Holding’s Martin Ragginger as he executed a perfect race for the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia’s Round 3 at Fuji International Circuit, achieving the victory trifecta with the first place win, pole position and fastest lap to earn the maximum number of points.
Fuji. The first points have been marked, but the season is just warming up as the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia’s 25-strong line-up of international drivers return to Fuji International Circuit for two rounds of Asia’s top one-make series followed by a second historic invitational with Porsche Carrera Cup Japan.
