Nexus Racing’s Earl Bamber continued his assault on the 2013 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia title, taking his fourth successive series victory, and strengthening his position at the top of the leaderboard. Resisting another formidable challenge from Team Eagle’s Martin Ragginger, Bamber led from pole to chequered flag on Inner Mongolia’s unforgiving 3.751km Ordos International Circuit to take victory in Round 7. Despite a spirited challenge, Ragginger had to settle for the runner-up spot for the second time this weekend.

Nexus Racing’s Earl Bamber strengthened his lead in the chase for the 2013 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia title today with a dominant victory on the challenging and unpredictable Ordos International Circuit. The New Zealander, who is making a storming debut in the region’s premier sportscar championship this season, maximized the advantage of his first series pole position, but had to fend off a determined Martin Ragginger for much of the race. The Team Eagle driver fought hard to catch the young pretender, but was unable to snatch victory from him.

Porsche Carrera Cup Asia championship points leader, Earl Bamber of Nexus Racing, took his maiden series pole position today at the 3.751km Ordos International Circuit in Inner Mongolia after a close-run qualifying session. Just 0.115 seconds behind him though was Team Eagle’s Martin Ragginger, snapping at the heels of the talented New Zealand sportscar newcomer. Team Jebsen’s Rodolfo Avila set a scorching first quick lap which put him third in the time sheets, but his session ended prematurely with a broken engine belt.
Shanghai. The prestigious sports car championship 2013 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia gears up to Inner Mongolia’s 3.751km Ordos International Circuit this weekend, with 25-strong fleet of Porsche 911 GT3 Cup racing cars prepared for to take on the toughest track on the calendar. Newcomer Nexus Racing’s Earl Bamber leads the championship after three tight weekends including supporting two F1 Grand Prix in Sepang and Shanghai and two thrilling races in Zhuhai International Circuit, China’s first permanent track.

Craft Nexus Racing ace Earl Bamber took his second Porsche Carrera Cup Asia victory today to put him top of the championship leaderboard ahead of Team Eagle’s Martin Ragginger of Austria who finished third in Round 5 behind Team Jebsen’s Rodolfo Avila of Macau, who took his second podium finish of the weekend.
Zhuhai. Porsche Carrera Cup Asia newcomer Earl Bamber of New Zealand took his inaugural series victory today, winning Round 4 in convincing style. The Craft Nexus Racing 22-year-old crossed the line ahead of Team Jebsen’s Rodolfo Avila and Budweiser Kamlung Racing’s Tung Ho-Pin of China after a drama-filled 12 lap race on the Zhuhai International Circuit.
Zhuhai. Team Eagle’s Martin Ragginger set the overall fastest time during qualifying today, taking pole position for Round 4 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia on the 4.3km Zhuhai International Circuit. Second quickest was Craft Nexus Racing’s Earl Bamber of New Zealand, with Team Jebsen’s Rodolfo Avila third quickest out on track and LKM Racing Team’s Keita Sawa of Japan making up the second row.

Reigning Porsche Carrera Cup Asia champion Alexandre Imperatori of PICC Team StarChase may have only been absent from the series for two races, but in just six short weeks the level of competition amongst the front-runners has strengthened considerably. As Imperatori returns for Rounds 4 & 5 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia this weekend at the Zhuhai International Circuit, having missed the last two rounds contesting the opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship in Silverstone, he will be faced with a formidable field of rivals.

His trio of wins, and perfect record of pole positions, gives him a strong lead at the top of the championship points table but series newcomer, Earl Bamber of Craft Nexus Racing, continued his impressive debut with his second runner-up finish of the weekend. Third across the line was Macau’s Rodolfo Avila of Team Jebsen, who made a scorching getaway off the grid and powered his way to a podium finis
Shanghai. Team Eagle’s Martin Ragginger took victory in Round 2 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia today after an epic battle with series newcomer Earl Bamber of Craft Nexus Racing. Third across the line was LKM Racing Team’s Keita Sawa of Japan, ahead of Team Carrera Cup Asia guest driver Darryl O’Young, entered by Porsche Centre Shanghai Pudong, who defended well from a hard-charging Rodolfo Avila of Team Jebsen in what was a thrilling climax to the race.

Team Eagle’s Martin Ragginger stormed to pole position for Rounds 2 and 3 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia at the 2013 FORMULA 1 UBS CHINESE GRAND PRIX at the Shanghai International Circuit today. The Austrian, who won the opening round of the championship in Malaysia last month, dominated the session with an early quick lap which was more than a second faster than his closest rival, Earl Bamber of Craft Nexus Racing. Third fastest overall was Japan’s Keita Sawa of LKM Racing Team.
Shanghai. The Porsche Carrera Cup Asia has announced a double-header for its Shanghai showcase meeting in support of the 2013 FORMULA 1 UBS CHINESE GRAND PRIX this weekend, with two 12-lap races on the 5.5km Shanghai International Circuit.
