In a brilliant display of GT racing at its finest, with close battles throughout the field all the way to the chequered flag, the 12-lap Round 12 was a fitting end to what has been the most competitive in the championship’s 11-year history.

Shanghai, China. Earl Bamber sealed the 2013 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia championship with an emphatic victory in Round 11, thundering from pole to chequered flag to take the title with a race to spare. The 23-year-old Nexus GSH Racing driver didn’t put a wheel wrong on the way to his sixth victory in his debut season, setting the fastest lap of the 12-lap race for good measure.

In one of the closest qualifying sessions in the series’ 11-year history, reigning champion Alexandre Imperatori of PICC Team StarChase put in a storming performance, ending the session just a hundredth of a second off pole.
