Reigning Porsche Carrera Cup Asia champion Earl Bamber of LKM Racing and PICC Team StarChase driver Alexandre Imperatori took pole position for Rounds 2 and 3 respectively at the 5.5km Shanghai International Circuit. The eventful single qualifying session, held in wet conditions, was first interrupted and then finished by red flags.

Earl Bamber wins factory scholarship for the 2014 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup
Stuttgart. New Zealander Earl Bamber (23) is the winner of the Porsche Motorsport International Cup Scholarship challenge. He receives funding of 200,000 Euro for his 2014 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup campaign. Porsche Carrera Cup Asia nominated Bamber for the shootout in Oschersleben (Germany), where he managed to beat seven other top pilots from Porsche one make cups series around the world.
